Our Vision

At Caregiver Safe Place, our vision transcends providing mere respite care; we aim to redefine your experience as a family caregiver. We envision a world where every family caregiver is celebrated as a pillar of strength, resilience, and unwavering love.

This is our vision at Caregiver Safe Place : a world where every family caregiver's journey is honored, supported, and celebrated. A world where caring for others is seen not just as an act of duty, but as a pinnacle of human compassion and strength.

We see a future where family caregivers are not just recognized but deeply valued for their selfless dedication. A world that understands the weight of their commitment and responds with their unwavering support and gratitude for their dedication to loving what they are doing to make a difference.

Our goal is to ensure that no family caregiver feels overwhelmed or alone. We dream of a society that actively contributes to the wellbeing of those who care for their aging or disabled loved ones and provides them with the necessary resources to maintain their physical health and emotional vitality.

We envision a community where family caregivers are empowered through education, shared experiences, and the strength of a supportive network. A future where every family caregiver has access to tools, guidance, and a community that uplifts and inspires. We strive to shift the perception of family caregiving from a role of silent sacrifice to one of the honored contribution. Our vision is to highlight the heroic journey of every caregiver, shining a light on their courage and profound impact they have on the lives they touch.

In this future, Caregiver Safe Place Support stands as a foundation for family caregiver support, constantly innovating and advocating for a world that not only recognizes, but cherishes and nurtures those who give so much of themselves.

Our Founder

Carletta Cole

In 2018, Carletta Cole embarked on a journey into the world of caregiving when her mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. At that moment, as a single mother, she found herself navigating this unfamiliar terrain alone with not much support.

“A lot of people really don’t understand until they’re in that position, what caring for an aging parent, a child with disabilities, traumatic brain injury, or veteran is like,” Cole says. “It’s a hard situation to be put in.”

Caregiver Safe Place was founded in 2019 to provide caregivers with resources and to give caregivers a well-deserved break.

“I thought, ‘If I’m doing this by myself, I know other caregivers are doing it, too.’ I want to give back to them.”

Now, Caregiver Safe Place sponsors Caregiver Days Out!
